Frontier guide · Hunsterverse
Hunsterverse vs the old servers
The Frontier guide was written for Capcom's official servers, which closed in December 2019. This page sums up how Hunsterverse compares, then lists the "On Hunsterverse" note of every section, so you can see at a glance what works the same, what is different and what is not built here yet.
The short version
- The game is the same. We run the final Frontier Z client (Japanese, with an English patch). Monsters, weapons, armour, skills, sigils, Transcend, crafting and the quest files are the game's own, so the guide's advice about how the game plays still holds. Menu names can differ slightly from the guide's, which used the Taiwanese client.
- No payments. There is no Item Mall, no points to buy and nothing paid. Anything the guide says about MyCard, PayPal, PSN or Taiwanese maintenance days does not apply.
- Courses are free and the same for everyone (details below).
- Gacha is not set up yet. The gacha screen holds only three demo gachas with small zenny prizes, and nobody has gacha coins yet. Hunting Road rewards will pay coins from 17 Nov 2026.
- Active Feature: every weapon type is featured every day, not a rotating few.
- Events run on the server's own schedule, not the Taiwanese calendar: the Hunter Festival runs back to back (prizes on Events), Raviente runs (we have not checked how often a new one starts), and MezFes is open every day. Since 4 Nov Diva Defense (3-week cycles) and event campaigns run too (the Conquest War is off: ZZ already unlocks every level without it), and from 5 Nov, 15:00 UTC the Speedrun Cup (weekly) and the VS Bracket (every 14 days, play whenever; boards on Tournaments) run too: they are new and not much played yet (4 Nov changelog). The Return World was removed.
- Not built here yet: the Grand Fish Cup, reward song effects (not tested), guild graduation and guild Tenrouirai missions in the Sky Corridor. The gacha coin shop, the N point shop and the festival point exchange have no server stock.
- The Hunting Road is voted on. Players build Roads and vote; the winner goes live, and a party can pick any installed Road with
!road. See the Roads guide, the vote and Road data. The Road shop is stocked (1,132 items). - Extra characters are free: some accounts here have five. The server sets no limit of its own; we have not checked the client's maximum.
- Our own tools replace the old fan sites the guide pointed to: Monsters, Catalog, Quests (every quest on the server, in English), the Set builder and who is online.
Course (subscription) perks
On the official servers you paid for courses such as Hunter Life, Extra and Premium. On Hunsterverse every account has the same courses, for free, and players cannot change them. The server sends them with an expiry of 1 January 2030 and sends it again at every login, so they never run out:
| Course | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Hunter Life (HL), Extra (EX), Premium | On for every account |
| Net Cafe (N course, N Boost, official cafe) | On for every account. The cafe gives the normal rates (no extra HRP, zenny or carves); the daily 2-hour Boost Time and the daily cafe bonus are on. |
| Assist (Legend Rasta), Hiden, Hunter Support | Off for every account |
So the perks the guide ties to Hunter Life, Extra or Premium (such as the free Rainbow gem change, Premium's extra Raviente gems and Premium recommended for the Hiden grind) should apply to everyone. We read this from the accounts and the server's code; we have not tested each perk in game.
What the official servers sent to subscribers as items is not sent here: the server answers the game's monthly course-item check with "already claimed", so there is no gift of the five "HL Hiden" tickets at GR500, Premium outfit tickets or the like (read from the server's code, not tested in game). The gifts in the in-game gift list are the ones listed on the account page.
Every section, compared

Basics and Getting Started
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Welcome to Frontier | Works the same These systems are part of the game client, and Raviente, the Caravan and the Hunting Road all run here. The Road is different from the official servers: players vote on its design (see the Hunting Road guide). |
| Where to go next in this guide | Different The Hunter Festival, Raviente and the Caravan run here, and since 4 Nov so do Diva Defense, MezFes every day and event campaigns (Conquest is off); the Speedrun Cup and the VS Bracket start on 5 Nov, 15:00 UTC (the new ones are not much played yet). See Events for what is live, Tournaments for the Cup and bracket boards and the 4 Nov changelog for how each works. |
| Getting started: install, account and character | Different The guide's own setup chapters (Windows locale and time zone, Locale Emulator, PlayStation versions, Taiwanese and Japanese account sign-ups, installers, VPNs) were written for Capcom's official servers and do not apply. Start at the Play page (Windows, Linux / Steam Deck, or bringing a character from another server), then create your account in the Mezeporta launcher: press REGISTER and choose a username and password (case-sensitive: always type it the same way). No time zone or locale change is needed; our Windows guide says Locale Emulator is only needed if the game refuses to start. |
| First login and settings | Works the same The Hunter Guide tasks are client content, and Hunter Navi is switched on here (older Hunter Navi saves were fixed on 2 Nov). Settings are client options. |
| The town and Hunter Rank 1 | Works the same The town, the HR1 quests and the free rewards from the guide tasks are game content and work the same. |
| Hunter Rank 2 | Works the same The HR2 steps, the Caravan Gem and the zenny tips are game content; we did not test creating a Partner at the Rasta bar. Restyle points were bought with real money on the official servers: nothing is sold here, but our gift list holds some "ReStyle your Chara!" items (not tested). |
| Hunter Rank 3 and 4 | Works the same Transcend, bentos and the Pugi Farm are game content. The 20 extra preset slots were a subscriber perk; every account here has the Hunter Life and Extra courses, so they should be there (not tested in game). Where the guide says "midnight Taiwan time", timers the server handles count from midnight Japan time instead; we did not check each one. |
| Hunter Rank 5: where the game starts | Different Most of this is game content, but the GCP exchange list comes from the server and ours holds only 2 entries, so GCP purchases the guide lists (such as the Lao Shan Claws) may be missing. We did not check the HR5 booster pack or whether the normal store sells the G decorations as the guide says. Every account has the Hunter Life course, so the "must be subscribed at HR5" rule does not bite. |
| Hunter Rank 6 and 7: the road to G Rank | Works the same The quests, monsters and the road to G Rank are game content. The Conquest War is off here (ZZ already unlocks every level without it; see Events), and we did not check the free bundle of conquest materials from the entrance NPC. |
| The newbie server and subscriptions | Different Hunsterverse has a Newbie world (see Worlds); what it offers beyond the normal worlds was not checked. Every account already has the Trial, Hunter Life and Extra courses, which never run out (the server always sends an expiry of 1 January 2030), and nothing is bought here, so there is nothing to subscribe to or pay for. |
| Controls, menus and chat | Different The list below is the guide's list for the official game, which used |
| Daily routine | Works the same The login boost is on, the daily quest allowance is 10 and the bonus quest allowance 3. Timers the server handles count from midnight Japan time, not Taiwan time; we did not check each daily reset. The subscription the guide asks for (full NP, Daily Quests) is there on every account (not tested in game). |
| Subscriptions, courses and paid items | Different Nothing is bought here: there is no Item Mall or paid points. Every account has the Trial, Hunter Life, Extra, Premium and NetCafe courses, which never run out (the server always sends an expiry of 1 January 2030), so their perks should apply (not tested in game), except the NetCafe rank-point multipliers, which are normal here (the cafe gives a 2-hour daily boost time instead). No account has the Assist, Hiden or Hunter Support courses, course bonus items are not mailed out, and the gacha is not available yet (it holds only three demo gachas with small zenny prizes). Selling items for Frontier Points works. |
| Japanese-server tips | Different The Gacha Cat lotteries (Raviente and True Hiden decorations) are not available here yet, and the Road's floors depend on the Road players voted in (see the Hunting Road guide). Every working event quest (390) is always listed, see Events; we did not check that the Silver Rathalos quest or the Road decoration prices match the guide. |
| The ZZ update: Magnet Spike, Zenith Sigils, GR999 and more | Works the same The ZZ content is in the final Z client we run, so it works the same. The PZ cuff lottery needs gacha coins and the gacha is not available yet. |
English Guild and Guild Hall
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Guild chat first | Different The guild in this section was the guide author's own on the official servers. Here, browse guilds on the guilds page (there is no official English guild); our Discord is a place to find players and parties. |
| Joining a guild | Works the same Guilds work (539 exist; see Guilds). Member limits depend on guild rank: 30 members up to rank 2, 40 up to rank 6, 50 up to rank 9 and 60 from rank 10. Graduating from a rookie guild is not built and shows a failure message. |
| Guild requirements and meeting place | Different These were the house rules of one guild, not game rules: each guild here sets its own, within the size limit for its rank (30 to 60 members). The Hunter Festival does run; its prize table is on Events. |
| The Guild Hall | Works the same The Hall, its quest givers and the guild ticket quests are game content and should work the same; we did not test each guild quest. |
| Guild Pugis | Works the same Guild Pugis are game content. Every account has the Premium course, so the Luck Pugi stacking should apply (not tested in game). |
| Guild Legendary Rasta | Unknown, not checked We did not check the daily Guild Legendary Rasta. Rasta borrowing and contract problems were fixed on 2 Nov, and no account has the Assist (Legend Rasta) course. |
| Guild Special Cooking | Different Cooking works as the guide says, and the meal lasts 1 hour after cooking. The Diva Defense ingredients (its Adventure Boat routes and Guild Interception rewards) may now be earned, because Diva Defense runs since 4 Nov, but it is new and not much played yet and we did not check which ingredients its rewards hold. |
| Felyne Treasure Hunters | Different Guild treasure hunts work, but sending cats is free with no cooldown here, so the RP cost for tired cats does not apply. Hunts are kept for 7 days. |
| Felyne Adventure Boat | Unknown, not checked The Adventure Boat is handled by the server (errors now show a failure message), but its rewards, odds and RP cost were not checked. Diva Defense runs since 4 Nov; whether its items for the routes are available was not checked. |
House and AI Companions
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| House | Works the same House interior saves and the bookshelf for visitors were fixed on 2 Nov. |
| Gook Farm | Works the same The farm and Gook Cooking are game content and should work the same; we did not test them in detail. |
| Pugi Farm (My Tore) | Different Premium outfits from the Item Mall are not sold here, because nothing is paid for (our gift list has a "Poogie Dressup!" gift; what it holds was not checked). Every account has the Hunter Life and Premium courses, so the subscriber perks should apply (not tested in game). Timers the server handles count from midnight Japan time, not Taiwan time; we did not check the Pugi Farm reset. |
| Airou Plaza | Works the same The Plaza is game content and should work the same; we did not test it in detail. |
| SR Challenge Room | Works the same The challenges are quest content in the client and work the same. |
| AI Companions | Works the same The companion options are game content; the sections below say what we checked for each kind. |
| Halks | Works the same Halks are game content and should work the same (not tested in detail). The Halk Pot resets daily; timers the server handles count from midnight Japan time, not Taiwan time, and we did not check this one. |
| Felyne Partnyaas | Unknown, not checked The Partnyaa skill tables are game content and work the same, but we did not check hiring, the Priority book or RP in our guilds. Guild treasure hunts, which use Partnyaas, work and are free to send (see the Guild page). |
| Fostas and Rastas | Unknown, not checked Ordinary Rasta contracts and borrowing were fixed on 2 Nov. Every account has Premium but none has the Assist (Legend Rasta) course, and what each gates in the client was not checked, so we cannot say whether you can contract a Legendary Rasta. For G Rank advice, see Rastas at G Rank. |
| Partners | Unknown, not checked We did not test creating or equipping a Partner. Premium Restyle Points were bought with real money; nothing is sold here, but our gift list holds some "ReStyle your Chara!" items. No account has the Assist (Legend Rasta) course, and what that gates at the bar was not checked. |
Items and Materials
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Finding where a material comes from | Different The hint works the same, with English names (they may differ slightly from the guide's); see the item and equipment catalogue and the monster field guide. Materials marked as bought with N points come from a store with no entries on our server, and the pointer to the official site's news does not apply. |
| Ferias | Different Ferias is an outside database that we do not link. For items, equipment and monsters, use our item and equipment catalogue and monster field guide; item names are in English in our client. |
| Box space, presets and sorting | Unknown, not checked This section only points to the Equipment and Item Boxes page. How many box pages the client gives here was not checked. |
| Basic items | Works the same Items are game content and work the same. Our item and equipment catalogue lists what exists on the server. |
| Armour spheres | Works the same Armour spheres are game content and work the same. |
| Combinations | Works the same Combining works the same as in the final Z client. |
| Special items | Different The items work the same, but course bonus items are not mailed out automatically: every account has the NetCafe courses, yet nothing delivers the drugs (the Guild Cat's daily gift was not checked). Our daily cafe bonus rewards exist, but we did not check what they hold. |
| Medal charms | Works the same Medals and charms are game content and work the same. |
Equipment and Item Boxes
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Using the box | Works the same The box menus are client content and work the same. |
| Equipping gear | Works the same Equipping works the same. Menu names can differ slightly in our client. |
| Getting more box space | Unknown, not checked The website shows up to 6,000 storage slots, but how many pages the client gives here, and whether a course changes it, was not checked. A "More Storage!" gift exists on our gift list. |
| Item presets | Works the same Presets work the same. Every account has the Hunter Life and Extra courses, so the 20 extra slots should be there (not tested in game). |
| Sorting your equipment box | Works the same Sorting is a client feature and works the same. |
| Gear presets | Works the same Gear presets are a client feature and work the same. |
| Caravan gem skills | Works the same The gem skills are game content. Caravan scores post at the end of a quest (fixed 2 Nov). |
Weapons and Sigils
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Weapon types | Works the same Weapon types and their numbers are game content and work the same. |
| Making weapons | Works the same Crafting works the same. The Premium kit and lottery weapons came from the Item Mall and the gacha, which are not available here, so those entries will mostly lead nowhere. |
| Weapon families | Different Weapon stats work the same, and Raviente runs (see Events). The Diva Defense weapons need that event, which runs since 4 Nov; it is new and not much played yet, and whether the weapons are among its rewards was not checked. |
| Gou weapon boosts | Works the same Weapon and armour effects live in the client and work the same. |
| Elements and properties | Works the same Elements and properties are game content and work the same. |
| Melee weapons | Works the same Sharpness works the same. |
| Bowguns | Works the same Bowguns work the same. |
| Bows | Works the same Bows work the same. |
| Active Feature | Different Every one of the 14 weapon types has the Active Feature every day here, so the daily rotation does not apply. The buff values in the table are the client's. |
| Weapon styles and motion values | Works the same Styles work the same. |
| Hunting Horn songs | Works the same Songs work the same. |
| Sigils | Works the same Sigils work the same. Names may differ slightly in our client; see the item and equipment catalogue. The Morning, Night and day-of-week sigils go by a clock; the guide says Taiwan time, and we did not check which clock our server follows. |
Armour, Decorations and Skills
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Making armour | Works the same Crafting works the same. Premium kit and lottery armour came from the Item Mall and the gacha, which are not available here. |
| Armour types | Different Armour stats and effects work the same, but Premium armour (kits, lotteries) needs the Item Mall and the gacha, which are not available here. Diva Defense armour needs that event, which runs since 4 Nov (new, not much played yet; its armour rewards were not checked). |
| Transmog | Works the same Transmog works the same. Billing exteriors cannot be bought and lottery ones need the gacha, so those lists will be short. |
| Armour and icon colours | Works the same Colours work the same; we did not test the Purple pet fight, which needs a second player. |
| Decorations | Different Decoration crafting works the same, but some stores the guide names as sources are thin here: the Hunter Festival points exchange has no entries on our server and the GCP shop only 2, while the Road shop is stocked. Armour and gem names are English and may differ slightly; search the item and equipment catalogue. |
| Building sets | Works the same Skills work the same. To find sets for the skills you want, use our armour set builder: pick skills, and it finds sets that fit. |
| Skills | Works the same Skills and their priorities work the same. Skill Fruits are bought with Lottery G Coins in a coin shop that has no entries on our server, and no account holds coins, so expect them to be unavailable. |
| Skill reference | Works the same Skills work the same as in the final Z client. Names may differ slightly in our client. |
| Zenith skills | Works the same Zenith skills are part of the final Z client we run and work the same. To find sets that give the skills above, use the armour set builder. |
Transcend
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| What Transcend is | Works the same Transcend is game content and works the same. Menu names can differ slightly in our client. |
| Offensive buffs | Works the same The buffs work the same. |
| Defensive buffs | Works the same The buffs work the same. |
| Upgrading | Different Upgrading itself works the same, but the books come from cycling events: the Hunter Festival runs (prize table on Events), Caravan scores post at quest end, the Tower is open; the Conquest War is off, so books from Conquests are not available (not checked). |
| Using Transcend in a quest | Works the same Using Transcend works the same. |
| Elemental Bursts | Works the same The bursts work the same. |
Monsters
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Large monsters | Works the same Monster data lives in the client and works the same. For hitzones (normal and enraged), HP, stagger, maps and carves, use our monster field guide, which has one page for each monster. The names above link to those pages where we have one. |
| Small monsters | Works the same Small monsters are game content and work the same. |
| Frontier status effects | Works the same Status effects are client mechanics and work the same. |
| Unique monster mechanics | Works the same Monster moves, breaks, tails and carves are client mechanics and work the same. How the server picks the Unknown invasion, the Red Rajang and Phantom Dora swaps and the Mi Ru Urgent was not checked. |
Tools and References
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| MHSX2G armour set builder | Different MHSX2G is a separate program and its armour names are Japanese, while our client shows English names that may not match. Hunsterverse has a browser-based armour set builder: pick skills and it finds sets. For what the skills do, see Armour skills. |
| Sigil Hunter | Unknown, not checked The tool was made for the Taiwanese client's text and font. Whether it works with our English-patched client was not checked. To learn what each sigil does, see Sigils. |
| English Ferias and Loxxol script | Different The script only translates two outside data sites for the official servers, and we do not link to them. On Hunsterverse, use the monster field guide for hitzones and the catalog for items and equipment. |
| OCR tools | Different Menu, item, skill and quest names in our client are in English, from the translation patch, so you will need OCR much less than on the Taiwanese client. |
| The guide author's other pages | Different The author's pages are not part of Hunsterverse and were not checked. Our catalog and monster field guide cover items, equipment and monsters, and the set builder covers armour sets. |
| Area maps | Works the same Maps and gathering points are client data and work the same. Our monster field guide also has maps. |
| Armour quick reference | Different Armour buffs and upgrade paths are client data and work the same. Premium Kit armour (the Premium row) came from the Item Mall, which is not available here. |
| Weapon quick reference | Works the same Weapon multipliers and coatings are client data and work the same. |
| Skill mechanics | Different Skill mechanics work the same. Skill Fruits are bought with Lottery G Coins, and the gacha only holds three zenny demos for now, so that route is not available yet. |
Hunter Rank and Style Rank
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Starting out (HR1 to HR4) | Unknown, not checked Hunsterverse has a Newbie world (see Worlds), but what it offers beyond the normal worlds was not checked. The Gook Farm, Helper Area and story quest lines are client content and should work the same (not tested). |
| Key quests and Urgents | Unknown, not checked Key and Urgent quests are quest files. The server holds 9,152 of them (see the quest catalogue), but which counters offer each one was not checked. |
| HR2, HR3 and HR4 | Works the same Transcend and the Pugi Farm are client systems and should work the same (not tested in game). |
| HR5: where the game starts | Different Our worlds are Newbie, Normal, Cities, Tavern and MezFes (see Worlds), not the guide's numbered tabs; the Return World was removed on 4 Nov and MezFes is open every day. What the Newbie world allows was not checked. Negative weaknesses and SP equipment are client mechanics and work the same. What the Purple Guildie hands out at HR5 was not checked. |
| HR5 quest tiers | Works the same Monster tiers and gear trees are game data and work the same. The server holds quest files for Exotic, Supremacy and Hardcore quests (see the quest catalogue); which counters offer them was not checked. |
| Gou weapons and armour | Works the same Gou crafting and upgrades are client mechanics and work the same. |
| Exotic gear and Supremacy quests | Works the same Exotic gear and Supremacy fights are client content and work the same. The quest catalogue lists Supremacy quests (see Quests). Whether the HR6 repel quest that gives fixed Supremacy Blood is offered was not checked. |
| Things to do every day | Different The server's daily quest allowance is 10, with a bonus quest allowance of 3. Its clock for daily and weekly resets is Japan time (UTC+9), not Taiwan time, so resets may fall at a different hour than the guide says; individual resets were not checked. Guild rewards, Pugi points and the N Points from the Daily Quest were not checked, and the N points store has no entries yet. Rasta contracts work (fixed 2 Nov). |
| Style Rank | Works the same Style Rank, the Book of Secrets and weapon styles are client mechanics and work the same. |
| Hardcore monsters, carves and souls | Different Hardcore monsters, carves and Souls work the same, and all quest reward multipliers are 1.0. Buying HC carves does not work yet: the Hunter Festival points exchange and the N points store have no entries. Diva Defense (GCP carves) runs since 4 Nov, but it is new and not much played yet, and whether GCP carves are among its rewards was not checked. Every account has the Premium course, so the Legendary Pugi carve bonus should apply (not tested in game). |
| Style Rank skills | Works the same SR skills are client mechanics and work the same. |
| The Book of Secrets stats and Attack Ceiling | Works the same The Book of Secrets stats and Attack Ceiling are client mechanics and work the same. |
| My Missions | Different My Missions work the same. The ticket sources differ: a day of Premium giving 40 tickets is a course bonus item, which the server does not hand out, and lottery weapon tickets and coins are not available while the gacha holds only demos (not tested in game). |
| Hiden | Not available here yet The five "HL Hiden" tickets after GR500 came from subscribing, and the server does not hand out course bonus items, so they are not given here (not tested in game). The normal Hiden grind with Souls, Ribbons and Merits works the same. Every account has the Premium course, so the 5 extra Priority rewards should apply (not tested in game); the daily 12:00 Priority schedule was not checked. |
Starting G Rank
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| First steps in G Rank | Works the same The Guild Master's GSR and Extreme Style unlocks are client and save mechanics and should work the same (not tested in game). What the Purple Entrance NPC hands out was not checked. |
| Hunter Navigation tasks | Different Hunter Navi is on (older saves fixed 2 Nov) and the tasks work the same. The N Points and GCP shortcuts the guide mentions are thin here: the N points store has no entries and the GCP shop has only 2. What the Newbie world offers for these quests was not checked. |
| Easy equipment | Different The weapons themselves work the same, and our quest catalogue lists the quests. The HC Pawprint Medals trade for GCP may not work: the GCP shop has only 2 entries and the item-to-GCP list 3, and which entries these are was not checked. |
| G Class decorations | Works the same G Class decorations and their crafting are client content and work the same. The quests are in the quest catalogue; which counters offer them was not checked. |
| Newbie server quests | Unknown, not checked Hunsterverse has a Newbie world (see Worlds), but which of these quests it offers was not checked. |
| Attack Ceiling and SR skills | Works the same The Attack Ceiling, My Missions and SR skills are client mechanics and work the same. |
| Pugi cuffs and whetstones | Works the same Pugi cuffs, whetstones and the Caravan Gem are client content and work the same. Premium cuffs need a Premium outfit, and how to get one here was not checked; the Caravan gem smith was not checked either. |
| Hardcore and Supremacy reminders | Works the same Hardcore, Souls and Supremacy fights are client mechanics and work the same. All quest reward multipliers are 1.0 here. |
| Gou equipment in G Rank | Works the same Gou gear effects live in the client and work the same. |
| GZeny | Works the same GZeny and Quest Search are client features. The Login boost is on and quest reward multipliers are 1.0. Whether the time-limited "Counterattack! Poison Wyvern King" quest is posted was not checked. |
| Gunner sets | Works the same Critical Distance and Origin or Zenith piece effects live in the client and work the same. |
| Guild Pugis | Works the same Guild Pugi feeding is a client mechanic and should work the same. Every account has the Premium course, so the Premium stacking should apply (not tested in game). The Guild Shop's Pugi Crackers were not checked. |
| AI companions | Different Partners, Partnyaas and Rastas work the same, and Rasta contracts were fixed on 2 Nov. Diva Defense runs here since 4 Nov, so you can earn GCP for your Partner from its rewards (reward lists open in week 3, from 16 Nov); new, not much played yet. The GCP shop has only 2 entries. |
| Your first proper set | Not available here yet The five "HL Hiden" decorations came from subscribing, and the server does not hand out course bonus items, so they are not given here (not tested in game). Building your own set and the Hiden decoration grind work the same. |
G Rank
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Tips for early G Rank | Different Weapons, sigils and mixed sets work the same, because they live in the client. Premium cuffs and outfits came from the Item Mall and the gacha. Nothing is sold for real money here and the gacha holds only three zenny demos, so those items are not available yet. |
| G Rank quests | Works the same Star ratings, Burst, Origin and Exotic quests are client content and work the same. Our server holds 9,152 quest files (see Quests), and its event list has 390 quests, all always listed (see Events). Which counter offers each quest, and the weekly rotation of Scheduled Quests, was not checked. |
| G Rank weapons | Different Crafting and levelling weapons work the same. From Lv30 weapons need Conquest materials. Conquests are off here (ZZ already unlocks every level without them), so how the upgrades past Lv30 work now was not checked. See Events. |
| Making and using Sigils | Different Crafting and inserting sigils work the same. The N Points store, one source of Sigil Catalysts, has no entries here. Gook cooking and Tower Medals were not checked, and Premium Sigil tickets are not sold here. |
| G Rank armour | Different Making and upgrading G and GF armour works the same. Upgrading to GX needs Conquest materials. Conquests are off here (ZZ already unlocks every level without them); how GX upgrades work now was not checked. See Events. |
| G Rank Pugi cuffs | Different Cuff crafting and carves work the same, and Guild treasure hunts work and are free to send. Premium G Cuffs need paid tickets, which are not sold here. Conquests are off here (ZZ already unlocks every level without them); where Conquest items for combined cuffs come from now was not checked. |
| G Rank decorations | Different Jewels from breaking parts and crafting work the same. The guide says most decorations were sold through the Road, Festival or GCP stores. Here the Road shop is stocked, the GCP shop has only 2 entries and the Hunter Festival points exchange has none. Decorations that need Conquest monsters should now be possible, since the weekly Conquests started on 4 Nov (new, not much played yet, not checked). |
| Exotic equipment and G Finesse weapons | Unknown, not checked Exotic and G Finesse gear and its stats are client data and work the same. Caravan Boxes and the weekly event unlocks depend on server events. Caravan scores post at quest end here, but the boxes and the weekly unlocks were not checked. |
| Special equipment and the Shiusu set | Works the same Armour Spheres, the reduced-grind pieces and the Shiusu set are client crafting and work the same. Look up materials and skills in the Catalog. |
| Conquests | Different The Conquest event is off here: it ran for a few hours on 4 Nov and was switched off at the evening restart, because ZZ already unlocks every level without it. The Caravan rankings stay on. The Shiten Conquest sigils and the materials were not checked. See Events and the 4 Nov changelog. |
| The Diva | Different The Diva story at the Prayer Fountain is in English here. Diva Defense runs since 4 Nov (see Events), and reward songs are now earned from event points and last 1 hour; the buff's effect depends on client data that we did not test in game. The guide says Gems and Fluffy Cakes come from the GCP shop, which has only 2 entries here; which items those are was not checked. Gear that needs Diva Defense should be reachable through its reward lists and the coin shop (week 3, from 16 Nov); new, not much played yet. |
| Proper G Rank sets and max rank benefits | Works the same Skills and sets live in the client, so the advice here holds. Use the set builder to plan a set. The Hunting Points exchange and the Lottery Draw are server shops that were not checked. |
| Hiden decorations | Not available here yet The five "HL Hiden" tickets from subscribing are not handed out, because the server answers the monthly course item check with "already claimed" (not tested in game). Every account has Premium, so the Premium grind rates should apply (not tested in game). Lottery coins and Hiden Stones from the gacha are not available, as the gacha holds only demos. The Road works differently (see Hunting Roads); its shop is stocked, but the prices were not checked. |
| Berserk Raviente | Works the same Berserk Raviente runs here, with room for 32 players (8 for the small Berserk). The |
Zenith (GR200+)
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| What Zenith is | Works the same Zenith monsters, gear and skills are game content and work the same. Zenith quests are among the 9,152 quest files the server holds (see the quest catalogue). For hitzones, HP and carves see the monster field guide; for the sets and skills see Armour: Zenith armour and Zenith skills. |
| Zenith monsters | Works the same Zenith monster abilities, ratings and break parts are client mechanics and work the same. Which counters offer the Zenith quests was not checked. |
| Zenith materials | Works the same Zenith materials and their chances are game data and should work the same (not tested in game). All quest reward multipliers are 1.0, with no extra carves. |
| Blights and status | Works the same Blights and resistances are client mechanics and work the same. The Pink Store's Cancellation Fruit was not checked. |
| Zenith skills | Works the same Zenith skills are client mechanics and work the same. |
| Zenith armour | Different Z to ZX armour works the same. The Premium and Lottery ZP armours need the Item Mall and the gacha, which are not available here (the gacha holds only three zenny demos), so those sets are not available yet. |
| Zenith cuffs | Works the same Zenith cuffs are client content and work the same. |
| Zenith weapons | Works the same Zenith weapons are client content and work the same. The numbered sets may come from sources not on this server, and that was not checked. |
Quests, Food Buffs and Bentos
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Bentos (party buffs) | Different Bentos and their buffs work the same, but menu names may differ slightly because of our English patch. SR food bought with GCP or Hunter Festival Points is not available yet: the GCP shop has only 2 entries here and the points exchange has none. |
| Server types | Different Hunsterverse has its own worlds: Newbie, Normal (EN), Normal (ES), Cities, Tavern and MezFes, not the five Capcom types. The Return World was removed on 4 Nov and MezFes is open every day. See Worlds. What the Newbie world offers beyond the normal worlds was not checked. |
| Quest givers | Works the same The quest NPCs and their menus are client content and work the same. Names may differ slightly because of our English patch. |
| Quest menus | Works the same The menus work the same. Our server holds 9,152 quest files (see Quests), including Premium, Zenith, Supremacy, Hardcore, Musou and Exotic quests. Which counter offers each one was not checked. |
| Ranking points | Works the same Points work the same and pay at the normal rate, because every quest reward multiplier is 1.0 here. Guild Contribution Points can be spent only on the 2 entries in our GCP shop. |
| The quest card | Works the same The quest card is client content and works the same. Names on it are in English here. |
| Quest areas and objectives | Works the same Areas, objectives and sub-objectives are client content and work the same. |
| Searching for quests | Different Quest search is a client menu and works the same. Quest and monster names are English here, so the advice about pasting Chinese text does not apply. Use our Quests and Monsters pages to find names. |
| Advertising quests | Unknown, not checked Adverts are plain chat, so the format should work here. The Chinese shorthand in the table comes from the Taiwanese servers, and we have not checked whether players on our worlds use it. |
| Quest rewards | Works the same The reward screen works the same, and rewards pay at the normal rate: every quest reward multiplier is 1.0, with no extra carves. |
| Caravan, Guild and Diva quests | Different Caravan scores post at quest end here, and since 4 Nov the Caravan rankings show real scores. The Diva questline is in English, and Diva Defense runs since 4 Nov (new, not much played yet): Diva quests give extra points, and its rewards come in the later weeks (see Events). Guild quests and Guild Tickets were not checked. |
Regular Events
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| Event roster | Different The Hunter Festival, Diva Defense, MezFes (open every day) and event campaigns run here since 4 Nov (Conquest ran for a few hours and is off again: ZZ already unlocks every level without it), the Speedrun Cup and the VS Bracket start on 5 Nov at 15:00 UTC, and the Return World is gone. What is live, its prize table and the event quest pool (390 quests, always listed) are on Events; the Cup and bracket boards are on Tournaments; the details are in the 4 Nov changelog. Event Cycle Equipment was not checked here: Diva Defense runs, but Conquests are off, and nobody has completed the set. The times in this guide are Taiwan time. Our server resets daily and weekly on Japan time (UTC+9), and individual resets were not checked. |
| Hunter Festival | Different The Hunter Festival runs here (the last one started on 19 Oct 2026), and its prize table is on Events. Festivals now follow each other back to back: the next one starts on 17 Nov 2026 at 15:00 UTC, and each later one starts at the first midnight JST after the last one's prizes end. Easier prizes are planned for 17 Nov; they are not in yet. The prize and trial lists, vice-leader sign-up, voting, soul deliveries and the once-only final reward were fixed on 2 Nov, and results are kept since 3 Nov. Times here are Taiwan time, ours is Japan time. The Hunter Festival points exchange has no entries, and Secret Quests and Winners' Quests were not checked. |
| Diva Defense | Different Diva Defense runs here since 4 Nov, in 3-week cycles: the current one started on Mon 2 Nov. In week 1 (until 9 Nov) you pick one Prayer Gem a day (a day you miss is filled in) and hunt Diva quests for points; points unlock reward songs. Week 2 (from 9 Nov) is the guild week and week 3 (from 16 Nov) has the reward lists and the Diva coin shop; the next cycle starts on 23 Nov. Gems, points, songs, guild progress, rewards and coins are stored. The screens and gem names are in English. It is new and not much played yet: the guild map is a simple row of cells, the reward lists are our own (thresholds scaled down from the original), and the reward songs' effect, the GCP skills and the Diva GCP store were not tested in game. The GCP shop has only 2 entries. See Events and the 4 Nov changelog. |
| Prayer Weapons and Guild Interception | Unknown, not checked Diva Defense runs here since 4 Nov (see Diva Defense), and week 2, from 9 Nov, is the guild week. We did not check Guild Interception itself or the Prayer Weapons: whether their rewards, Notes and transmog tickets can be earned is not known yet. New, not much played yet. |
| Caravan | Different Caravan quests are client content. Caravan scores post at quest end here (fixed 2 Nov), and since 4 Nov the Caravan rankings show real scores (weekly boards, always on, no weekly gifts); see the 4 Nov changelog. New, not much played yet. The CP shop and the gem smith were not checked. |
| Caravan Gems | Different Every account has the Premium course, so the 3x CP and the free Rainbow Gem should apply (not tested in game). The gem smith and CP shop were not checked. The daily colour roll at 12:00 is Taiwan time in the guide; our server clock is Japan time. |
| Caravan skills | Unknown, not checked Caravan skills are client data, but gem upgrades, maintenance and the CP shop were not checked here. Lottery Coins are not available because the gacha holds only demos, so the +100 PP option is out. |
| Pioneering System | Unknown, not checked The Pioneering System was not checked on our server. Whether the Pioneer Map and its rewards work here is unknown. |
| Raviente | Works the same Raviente runs here, and the |
| Berserk Raviente (G Rank) | Works the same Berserk Raviente runs here with room for 32 players (8 for the small Berserk). The fight and gear are client content and work the same. How parties are organised and the reward odds were not checked. |
| Raviente weapons and armour | Works the same Raviente weapons, armour and their upgrades are client crafting and work the same. How easily the materials drop depends on Raviente runs, whose reward odds were not checked. |
| Extreme Raviente | Works the same Extreme Raviente runs here with room for 32 players. The fight changes and the gear are client content and work the same. The reward odds were not checked. |
Hunter's Road
| Section | On Hunsterverse |
|---|---|
| How the Road works | Different Hunsterverse runs its own Road. Players design Roads in the Road builder and vote every two weeks on the next live Road (Road vote). Every Road keeps its own board, and a quest party picks one with |
| Stores and points | Different The Road shop is stocked here (1,132 rows over 9 lists), and none of its rows has a purchase limit set. We have not checked whether the prices and unlock steps match the guide's. |
| Surviving a long run | Works the same Surviving the fights works the same, because combat is client content. What the floors hold changes with each Road, so check Road data for the current one. |
| Tower Medals | Unknown, not checked Tower Medals are game content, but whether the current Road has Bonus Stages and what the medal store sells were not checked. The New & Returning Hunter Pack of the event campaigns (once per character, see the 4 Nov changelog) holds some Tower Medals. What a Road holds changes with each vote round; see Road data. |
| White Fatalis | Unknown, not checked White Fatalis is game content. Whether the current Road offers him, and how the weekly limit works, were not checked. The floors change with each Road. |
| Hunter's Road skills | Unknown, not checked Road skills are game content. Which of them our Roads use, and their costs and ranks, were not checked. |
| Tower weapons | Works the same Tower weapons are client crafting and should work the same (not tested in game). Resetting tower skills is saved (fixed 2 Nov). The Sky Corridor is open from 3 Nov 2026: a cleared tower quest counts toward your guild's tower missions, the town's Duremudira progress follows everyone's clears and floors, and the tower present box gives Tower Medals and Ancient Gold Debris at set numbers of floors and clears (our own list, once per character). With the 4 Nov client patch (changelog) clears count for hunters without a guild too; with an older patch only hunters in a guild are counted, because the game reports a cleared tower quest only for them. On the Duremudira floor the crumbled wall can be reached again: walk to the broken wall to Return to Mezeporta, which counts as a clear and starts your next run from the next floor (3 Nov). See Sky Corridor for the boards. A full tower run has not been tested in game yet. |
| Tower armour | Works the same Tower armour is client crafting and should work the same (not tested in game). The Sky Corridor, where its materials come from, is open from 3 Nov 2026 (see Tower weapons). |
| Duremudira | Unknown, not checked Duremudira is game content, but whether the current Road triggers his urgent quests was not checked. What a Road holds changes with each vote round. |
| Road as a Hiden alternative | Different Our Road is player-designed and changes with each vote, so the points per run differ from the guide's 100,000 for 50 floors. The Road shop is stocked, but whether it sells HCs and GHCs at these prices was not checked. |
| Raviente materials | Unknown, not checked None of the Road shop's 1,132 rows has a purchase limit set here, so the weekly limits in these tables may not apply. Whether the shop holds the Berserk Raviente materials was not checked. |
Where these come from: the game server's settings and code, read-only counts on the live database, our own pages and the changelog (2 Nov 2026). Something wrong or out of date? Report it.
Written from the Monster Hunter Frontier guide by Fist (as saved in January 2022). That guide describes Capcom's old official servers; we reworded it, laid it out for Hunsterverse and added the "On Hunsterverse" notes (all of them: Hunsterverse vs the old servers). The pictures are from the original guide.
