Server changelog

Every update to Hunsterverse, newest first, by month and day. Each day groups its changes by topic, and each change shows when it went live.

Last update listed: 5 November 2026. Page updated 5 November 2026. Found a problem that isn't listed? Report it.

Released updates are on the server, grouped by day and topic. Coming next is finished and tested, but not on the server yet. It goes live at a future server restart.

Each change shows when it went live, in UTC (and in your own time zone when your browser runs JavaScript). A change with only a date has no recorded time.

Where a fix says "the game waited forever", the game was waiting for an answer the server never sent, or the server answered in a form the game couldn't read. You saw a stuck "communicating" screen, or a list full of junk.

Most fixes come from checking exactly what the game expects from the server, so we don't have to guess. Only fixes we are sure of go live.

Coming next (not live yet)

Finished and tested on our test setup, but not on the server yet. These move to Released updates when they go live.

Nothing is waiting right now.

Discord · Game server · Website

Discord
  • Game chat: no links, open channel: /chat no longer sends links (in any spelling), invites, IP addresses, custom emoji, or role, channel, @everyone and @here mentions to the game, and refuses the same message twice in a minute or one character repeated over and over; you get a private note saying why. Everyone can type in #game-chat again; for now only /chat messages reach the game.
  • A daily board in #road-and-leaderboards and a new #sky-corridor: every morning the bot posts this week's hunts so far (hunters, guilds, most hunted monsters) and both Road boards in #road-and-leaderboards, and the Sky Corridor's district progress, totals against the goals and floor board in #sky-corridor. One post per channel a day, from 09:00 UTC, alongside the Monday weekly post.
  • Looking for group with Join buttons: in #looking-for-group, press Create a group, fill in the quest and when, and anyone can press Join on your post (up to four hunters, you included). You get a DM when someone joins; a group nobody joins closes after an hour.
  • Help desk and bug reports by form: press Ask for help in #help-desk or Report a bug in #bug-reports. Each question or bug gets its own thread that anyone can answer; questions can be marked solved, and staff set each bug's status. Exploits can be reported privately from #bug-reports.
  • Hunsterverse Z is our Discord: every Discord link on the website and the launcher's Discord button now open the Hunsterverse Z server (discord.gg/NQrvRdRwU8). Server news and restart notices are posted there.
  • Private tickets for account help: in #account-and-transfer, Open a private ticket opens a thread that only you and the staff can see, for /link, backups and character transfers. Never post your password, not even there.
  • Feedback threads for custom quests: each newly approved custom quest posted in #custom-quests gets its own feedback thread.
  • Forums for help and bugs: #help-desk and #bug-reports were forums for an hour; they now use the form panels listed above.
Game server
  • Game chat shows where a line came from: in #game-chat a message reads Luna · World for world chat, or the land for town chat in Mezeporta (Luna · Normal (EN) 2), since every land has its own town chat.
Website
  • Fuller hunter cards, no repeats: the card no longer shows play time, hunts or the weapon twice. Its bottom row now has the Sky Corridor (floors, rank, clears and Duremudira kills), your best Speedrun Cup place this week or last (board and time), quest runs tracked by the server and the weapons you have used. The line under your name shows your guild, rank and since when. Duremudira is counted as one monster in Most hunted, on the card and on the profile, instead of once per Sky Corridor district.
  • Item pages: every item now has its own page (for example Wyvern Prisma Tear) listing every monster that drops it, with rank, how (carve, capture, break, shiny) and the chance, filterable by rank and monster, plus the quests that need it to enter. Clicking a drop on a monster page or a quest's requirement opens that page directly; before, it searched the catalog by name and often found nothing, because the server's own item list names many items differently ("Rainbow Wyvern Tears"). The catalog now lists all 16,701 items, searchable by either name or id, with how many sources each has, and the site search (Ctrl+K) finds items the same way. An item the server names differently shows that name under it, as "(also Rainbow Wyvern Tears)".
  • Tidier monster pages: the Quests with button and the Form picker now sit side by side at the same height under the name, and on a phone the header no longer runs off the right edge of the screen. The page also has more room between the header, the buttons and the panels, and labels from the Japanese data that used wide characters now read normally (HC Carves, tolerances like 100:4x).
  • Finding the Speedrun Cup's quests: the cup's name (Speedrun Cup: Espinas) is not what the game calls its quests, which made them hard to find. Tournaments now has a How to enter box with each quest under its in-game name (this week Espinas Speed, solo, and All Slay Espinas!, guild, up to 4 hunters), linked to its quest page, and where it is in game: Quest counter, Limited-Time Quests, Event Quests. A cup quest's own page says when it is this week's cup quest, and the Discord announcement for each new cup lists the quests the same way.
  • Clearer bars on the Worlds graph: the bars under Players over time are now labelled Hunters with a kill. Each one counts the different characters that killed at least one monster in that hour, day or week, and hovering a bar says so ("16 hunters killed at least one monster that day"). Someone playing two characters counts twice, and time in town without a kill does not count.
  • Server status on every page: next to the logo, the bar now shows whether the game is up and how many hunters are online, checked every minute. Click it for each port's state and what to type into the launcher (host, ports, server mode, version), with Copy buttons.
  • A new tab icon: the site's icon in your browser tab and on a phone's home screen is now the Hunsterverse Z orb. Still seeing the old one? Reload the page once.

Launcher · Gacha · Game server · Client patch · Website

Launcher
  • Launcher patching works on slow connections: our build of the Mezeporta launcher (1.5.4-hv1) no longer gives up on a patch file after 10 seconds; it keeps going as long as data arrives. The installers, the full client download and the Play page now use it. Already playing? Download Mezeporta-Windows.zip or Mezeporta-Linux.zip from its release and replace your Mezeporta.exe (Linux: mezeporta-bin) with the one inside; your settings stay.
Gacha
  • Real gachas at the Gacha Cat: the three demo gachas are replaced by a Daily Free Draw (3 free draws once a day), a Materials Gacha (pay with common materials or 5,000 zenny), a Coin Step-Up, a Coin Lucky Box and an Event Ticket Box. Every character gets 10 free trial gacha coins each week (Mondays), claimable at the Gacha Cat's "Claim Items" for 4 weeks.
Game server
  • Game chat with Discord: world chat and town chat in Mezeporta's main square appear in the Hunsterverse Z #game-chat channel under the character's name, and /chat in that channel sends a line into the game as [D]Name: text. Party, guild and whisper chat stay in the game.
  • Room for 2,048 event quests: with the new client patch the quest counter lists up to 2,048 event quests instead of 512. Without the patch nothing changes. The quest list also loads faster.
  • Custom quests in testing show up: a quest you submit for testing now appears in your own quest counter and can be started.
Client patch
  • Bigger event quest list: the game can now hold 2,048 event quests (was 512). Download Frontier_Patch.zip (58 MB) again, or let the Mezeporta launcher fetch it at your next login.
  • 3rd and 4th Districts load properly: their quests sent you to Mezeporta instead of the tower, because the new district map files were refused by the game. Fixed. Download Frontier_Patch.zip (58 MB) again, or let the Mezeporta launcher fetch it at your next login.
Website
  • Admin Users tab: the search finds an account by its name or by any of its characters (a picker narrows it to one or the other), every account lists its characters with links to their hunter pages (deleted and never-played slots shown but not linked), and admins can link or unlink an account's Discord by hand, the same link /link makes.
  • Discord bot terms and privacy: new Prontier bot: Terms of Service page, and a Prontier Discord bot section on the privacy page saying what the bot reads, keeps and shows. Both are linked from the footer.
  • Custom quests: no limit on approved quests (only five waiting or in testing at once). A quest in testing expires after 14 days without activity, and a draft after 90 days untouched; your account page shows the dates, warns 3 days ahead and has a Keep testing button. An expired quest can be resubmitted for 30 days.
  • Tidier Road builder help: the ? help is now only on the fields that need it (Checks, the solo Road tick, Second monster, Weight, Forced and Level), with a smaller look; the rest is in a "How the Road builder works" note at the top.
  • Zenith monsters and monster levels in the builders: the Road builder and the quest builder can now pick a monster's Zenith form, and the Road builder lets you set each monster's strength level (0 to 83; levels a monster normally doesn't use are marked and may play at its base strength). Every field in the Road builder has a ? with help.

Events · Website · Client patch

Events
  • Diva Defense a week earlier: the first Diva Defense after the Hunter Festival now starts Mon 21 Dec, and every later main event moves one week earlier, so there is no week without a main event. The festival's prize claims end Mon 11 Jan 03:00 UTC (19 days).
  • Two events at a time: from now on there is always one main event (Hunter Festival or Diva Defense, taking turns) and one side event (Speedrun Cup or VS Bracket, taking turns), with no gaps. The festival starts 17 Nov; Speedrun Cup and VS Bracket alternate from 19 Nov; Diva Defense follows the festival on 28 Dec. See Events.
  • Sky Corridor counts real Duremudira kills: the town's Duremudira progress and the website now count a party's run once, and only when Duremudira was actually killed. Leaving through the broken wall still counts as a tower clear for your floors. Earlier counts were corrected.
  • RP cap raised: RP now goes up to 65,535 (it was cut to 16,960 at logout).
  • Conquest is off: ZZ already unlocks every level without it. Caravan rankings stay.
  • Next Hunter Festival moved up: it now starts on 17 Nov at 15:00 UTC, right after the current festival's prizes end, so there is no gap.
  • Diva Defense is back and running now. It runs in 3-week cycles. This one started on Monday 2 Nov, so you are in week 1 until 9 Nov: open the Diva menu in town, pick one Prayer Gem a day (a day you miss is filled in, so you can start late), and hunt. Diva quests give extra points, and your points unlock reward songs. Week 2 (from 9 Nov) is the guild week, week 3 (from 16 Nov) has the reward lists and the coin shop, and the next cycle starts 23 Nov. It is new on our server and nobody has played it in the game yet: tell us in Discord if something misbehaves.
  • MezFes is open every day (it was weekends only). Tickets still refill once a week, on Monday 00:00 JST (Sunday 15:00 UTC): if you are online at that moment, log in again to get the new week.
  • Conquest every week, with all four monsters (Shantien, Disufiroa, Fatalis and Crimson Fatalis). A season runs Monday 00:00 JST to the next Monday, with guild points at the guild counter, beat levels that are kept, and the caravan rankings. Weekly gifts arrive at the gift counter within 10 minutes after the week ends (first ones after 8 Nov, 15:00 UTC): Weekly Hunt Thanks for every hunter who took part (a conquest quest or caravan merit points that week), Top Conquest Guild for the hunters who posted for the week's top 3 guilds, and Top Caravan Hunter for the top 10 by merit points.
  • Event campaigns: open the Event Campaigns screen in town. The New & Returning Hunter Pack (potions, nutrients, demondrugs, tickets and Tower Medals) can be received once per character. The Weekly Supply Drop (a smaller pack) can be received again every Monday from 00:00 JST. The items go into your item box, so leave room.
  • Speedrun Cup, weekly, from 5 Nov, 15:00 UTC (Friday 00:00 JST). There is nothing to sign up for: clear the week's Cup quest from the event quest list, solo or in a group of four. Your fastest clear counts, and the ranking screen shows the standings (solo by weapon type, group in one list). This first week is Espinas. Clears count until Wednesday 15:00 UTC (Thursday 00:00 JST); after a short tally, everyone with a time gets a Speedrun Cup prize in the gift box: White Half-Tkts, Cuff Base White and a Competition Ticket, with more Competition Tickets for the top 10 and a Champion Tkt for first place.
  • VS Bracket, every 14 days, play whenever you like. Sign-up opens 5 Nov, 15:00 UTC and runs until Sunday 8 Nov, 15:00 UTC (up to 32 hunters). Type !vs join in chat, or use the VS Tournament screen (!vs leave takes you out). Then you are drawn into a bracket in sign-up order and each round lasts 2 days: you and your opponent each clear the round's quest alone, whenever you like, and the faster clear goes on. The quest is in your event quest list while you have a match. !vs shows your match and !vs bracket the whole bracket. Everyone with at least one clear gets a VS Bracket prize in the gift box when it ends, with more for the semi-finals, the final and the champion.
  • Hunter Festival back to back: from the 22 Nov festival on, the next festival starts right after the last one's prizes end (the next midnight JST) instead of after a break.
  • The Return World is gone from the world list.
Website
  • Create your account on the website: the sign-in box on the home page now has "Create an account", so you can make your game account before installing anything (REGISTER in the launcher still works too). Usernames are case-sensitive at login, so the site refuses a name that differs from an existing one only by capital letters and tells you which name already exists.
  • Transfer wizard: bring a character from another server (or from one of our backups) before you install anything. On the account page's Transfer tab, give it your file (our backup zip, another server's zip, a newer Erupe export or a bare save file), see what is in it, and it becomes a new character on your account: no throwaway character and no first login needed. You can also put it into a character you already have, with the usual preview and warnings. Then install and play.
  • The Windows and Linux guides moved into Play: the troubleshooting, the patch commands, the Linux steps for each distribution, the English and Japanese text notes and the Discord commands are now under "More help" on each card. The old guide addresses and their links forward to the matching card or section.
  • VS Bracket page on desktop: the bracket on Tournaments now shows properly on wide screens too (it only looked right on phones).
  • Importing an older save warns you: the import preview (website and Discord) now shows play time and monsters hunted before and after, and warns in red when the file has less play than your character.
  • Event cards explain each event: on Events, tap a card (or press Enter on it) to see what the event is, how to take part step by step, what you get, when it runs, tips and links. New cards cover Raviente, the Sky Corridor, the Hunting Road vote and the event quests.
  • Full download (beta): the whole client, already patched, with the launcher and Hunsterverse set up, is on the Play page: four zip parts (about 5.7 GB), extract them into one folder and run Finish-setup.bat.
  • Frontier guide notes brought up to date: the "On Hunsterverse" notes and the comparison page now match the new events (Diva Defense, weekly Conquest, MezFes every day, the caravan rankings, event campaigns, the Speedrun Cup and VS Bracket, the next Hunter Festival on 17 Nov, all 390 event quests, the Sky Corridor clears for hunters without a guild, the wall exit on the Duremudira floor) and no longer mention the Return World. Where an event is new and not much played yet, the note says so. See Events and Tournaments for what is running.
  • Everything starts at Play: the home page, the Frontier guide and the changelog now send new players to the Play page (Windows, Linux / Steam Deck, bringing a character), and the Windows and Linux guides open with a "New here? Start at Play" box. The two guides stay as the detailed reference, with the screenshots, every command and the troubleshooting.
  • New Play page: one checklist for Windows, one for Linux and Steam Deck (Steam Deck is not tested yet) and one for bringing a character from another server. Tick off each step and your browser remembers it, copy the server settings with one click, and find where to get your character file for each kind of server. It is now the main button on the home page and in the Guides menu. A one-click installer (beta) for Windows, Linux and Steam Deck is on it.
  • Setup guides corrected: to make a game account, press REGISTER in the Mezeporta launcher and choose a username and password (case-sensitive: always type it the same way); hunstermonter.net is no longer linked for sign-up. The guides now tell you to download Frontier_Patch.zip yourself on a slow connection, fix the Windows login troubleshooting row, keep the Linux Wine folder outside the game folder, drop the old mhl.dll swap advice, and list the Discord commands /link, /backup, /import and /password. The account page shows the link command as /link code:<code>. In Discord, /play shows the three ways to join.
Client patch
  • Sky Corridor 3rd and 4th Districts: the two missing districts are open, built from the 1st and 2nd District maps, and they are extremely hard: monsters with 300% (3rd) and 500% (4th) health and 200-300% damage, a much wider monster pool including the Zenith species, and Arrogant Duremudira guarding the 4th. More tower points and Gm per run. New and not played yet: tell us how it goes. Everyone in the party needs this patch: download Frontier_Patch.zip (58 MB) again, or let the Mezeporta launcher fetch it at your next login.
  • Diva Defense in English: the Prayer Gem effects and levels, song skills, the Diva menu, the guild counter screens and the help texts are now in English (about 470 lines). The gem names on the gem screen follow with the next server update; a few headers and the help book's pictures still show Japanese because the text is drawn into the image.
  • Sky Corridor without a guild: tower clears now count for players who are not in a guild (with this patch). Download Frontier_Patch.zip (50.9 MB) again, or let the Mezeporta launcher fetch it at your next login.
  • World messages in English: the Return World messages and the "you cannot move to this World" errors are now in English. Download Frontier_Patch.zip (50.9 MB) again, or let the Mezeporta launcher fetch it at your next login.
  • Sky Corridor ballista: the ballista in some 2nd District rooms can no longer be mounted, because using it could crash the game. The cannon still works.
  • Day and night quests listed once: the game's built-in quest lists (tours, Surveys) now list each day and night copy once, following the clock (28 quests). Everyone in a party needs the new patch: download Frontier_Patch.zip (50.9 MB) again from the setup guide (Windows, Linux), or let the Mezeporta launcher fetch it at your next login.

Sky Corridor · Game server · Account · Reports · Client patch · Gacha

Game server
  • Guild meals now last 7 days.
  • Event quests: every working event quest is always listed (390). Day and night copies are listed once and follow the clock.
  • Hunter Festival: results are kept from now on. Next festival: 22 Nov, 15:00 UTC, with 14 days to enter, 21 days of souls and 21 days of prizes. Easier prizes are coming.
  • Diva Defense is off for now.
Account
  • Backups on the account page: the new Backups tab on your account page downloads a backup of any of your characters as a zip, imports a backup file into one of them, and lists the imports made on your account.
  • Backups in Discord: /backup now lets you pick one character from a menu and sends you its zip in a DM. /import takes the zip, lets you pick the character it goes into, and shows a preview with Confirm import and Cancel. Characters are picked by their id, so two characters with the same name can't be mixed up.
  • What a backup holds: the character's save files: equipment, item box and pouch, zenny, HR and GR progress, Road points and equipped Road skills, house layout, Partner, Felynes, decoration sets, plates and Hunter Navi, plus the Road skill levels it had at the time. It does not hold what the server keeps for you (your warehouse, your account's shared item box, your guild and its box, Road and Sky Corridor records, rewards already claimed, titles, mail and friends), and an import leaves all of those as they are.
  • Preview first: an import shows what will change before anything is written: each save file, and the save's zenny, HR, GR points, Road points and equipped Road skills before and after. Nothing changes until you confirm. Log out of the game first: a character that is online can't be imported.
  • Road skill levels: importing one of our own backups, unchanged, into the same character sets its Road skill levels back to what they were when the backup was made. Any other file (an edited backup, another character's backup, a backup from before today or a save from another server) clears the levels, and you buy them again with the Road points in the save.
  • Saves from other servers: any server's ZZ save files are accepted, and so is the character export file of servers that run a newer Erupe. Every import is logged. Taking a character elsewhere: our backup works on servers running the ZZ client, and the zip also holds the character in that newer Erupe export format.
Reports
  • Sign in to send a report: the report page now needs you to be signed in with your Hunsterverse account. Reports are sent with your account, so we can follow up with you and tell reports from spam. If your sign-in runs out while you write, the page asks you to sign in again and keeps what you typed.
Sky Corridor
  • Tower clears count again: clears had not been saved since 3 Nov 14:23 UTC. Players without a guild still get no tower progress: join a guild for now.
  • Wall exit on the Duremudira floor: the crumbled wall can be reached again. Walk to the broken wall instead of the frozen room: you Return to Mezeporta, it counts as a clear, and your next run starts from the next floor. The prompt area is small for now.
  • Longer full-map tower: "Urgent 1st/2nd District (Full Map)" now climbs three floors of random rooms before Duremudira (one before). Everyone in the party needs this patch, or players get different floors.
  • Skills: the restored tower skills have their original icons back, Attack, Defense, Care, Pharmacist and the Guardian skills use the original tower costs and ranks, and you can equip skills worth up to 150 cost points (180 with Cost Books) instead of 100.
  • Tower items in English: about 160 more texts: tower item descriptions (gems, sigils, fossils, gears, potions) and the Tower and Duremudira weapons and armour.
  • New to test: the longer tower and the bigger skill budget have not been played before. Tell us in Discord if a run crashes or the skill menu misbehaves.
  • 13 old tower skills back in the Hunting Road Skills menu (35 skills now): Vitality of Hope, Stamina, Flame, Shock, Blunt and Cut Protection, Technique, Negotiation, Gunner, Partbreaker, Treasure, Encounter and Trap Evasion, with the original costs and ranks. Not all have been tried in game yet: tell us if one does nothing.
  • Skill books for everyone: Road Respec, SP Book and Cost Book in the Hunting Road shop can now be bought at any rank.
  • Tower difficulty builds up: each cleared tower run (as a guild member) now raises your floor record, at 3 times the original pace, so the next run starts harder; the party leader's record sets the difficulty. Full strength comes after about 20 to 27 cleared runs.
  • About 200 more lines of English inside the Sky Corridor: the special floor and next floor dialogs, frozen and suspicious rooms, floor messages, the Tower Felyne, guide and manager, the tower shop, Ancient Treasures, Tower Skills and Tower Requests, and the results screen. Nothing that was English before changed.
  • Weekly boss theme and random small monsters: each week the tower floors draw from a different set of bosses for each district, and small monsters are rolled at random where a room has spawn points.
  • Sky Corridor counter: quests that cannot load are hidden again, and the full-map quests are named "(Full Map)".
  • Full tower maps: "Urgent 1st District (Full Map)" and "Urgent 2nd District (Full Map)" on the tower counter now always load the full tower, with its floors before Duremudira. Before, the game swapped them for the short Duremudira-only version once you had done any short tower quest (a bug in the game). The short "Urgent 1st/2nd District Request" quests are unchanged.
  • Everyone in the party needs this patch, or players can end up on different maps.
  • Tower floors change every week (from 3 Nov), different for each district.
  • Sky Corridor counter: the Prologue, the 3rd and 4th District Surveys and the Urgent Investigation Request are no longer listed. Their tower floors are missing from every known copy of the game, so they could only crash or kick you. The counter now lists Urgent 1st and 2nd District Request, The Guardian of the Abyss, The Brutal Thunder of Oblivion and the two Hunting Road quests.
  • Only real clears count: a tower run counts as a clear for the Sky Corridor page, guild missions and the present box only when the quest was actually cleared; failed runs no longer count.
  • Sky Corridor counter: the "Unused" quest, which crashed the game after two floors, is no longer listed.
  • Tower floor tables: the server now sends the tower's floor tables for runs that never asked for them, after a party crashed two floors into a tower quest.
  • Sky Corridor (Tower): the tower is open, so its counter and district quests can be taken.
  • Guild tower missions: clearing a tower quest as a guild member now counts toward your guild's tower missions, and the next page of missions opens once all three are done. Every mission goal is half the original, for faster progress.
  • Duremudira progress in town: the tower info screen and the town's messages now follow everyone's tower clears and floors, instead of numbers that never moved. A district reaches its Duremudira goal at 25 clears and its last stage at 100 floors.
  • Tower present box: the box now has rewards: Tower Medals and Ancient Gold Debris at 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 floors climbed and at 1, 3, 5, 10 and 25 tower quests cleared, once per character. Floors and clears count only while you are in a guild (the game reports them only then).
Client patch
  • Item and gear names in English: the patch used to replace the community client's item data with an older copy, which turned about 50,000 item and gear texts back to Japanese. It now keeps all of the community's English and adds the patch's own.
  • Fixed: earlier today two game text files in the patch were built from an older, more Japanese copy of the game and turned a lot of text back to Japanese. They are now built on the same English files the community client uses: everything that was English stays English (checked line by line), and about 320 more lines are translated (Gacha Felyne, Sky Corridor, conquest, achievements, guild hall, cafe).
  • Automatic patch: when the Mezeporta launcher checks for updates, it now downloads the latest Hunsterverse client patch for you, the same files as Frontier_Patch.zip on the setup guide. Every new patch comes out on both.
  • Slow connection? If the launcher says "Patcher failed to connect", download Frontier_Patch.zip from the setup guide (Windows, Linux) and unzip it over your game folder by hand; the launcher then has nothing left to download.
  • More English text: about 390 more lines of the game are now in English: the Gacha Felyne's menus and help, the Sky Corridor screens (tower info, skills, floors, fainting and rescue), conquest and caravan, achievements, house pets, the guild hall and the cafe.
  • How to get the 3 Nov patches: the Mezeporta launcher downloads the newest one at its next update check (since 16:24 UTC). Or download Frontier_Patch.zip (50.9 MB) again from the setup guide (Windows, Linux) and unzip it over your game folder. If something looks wrong, tell us in Discord.
Gacha
  • Refused play: the gacha screen stays open when a play is refused.
  • Gacha: after opening Point Redemption from a Gacha Felyne, you can leave the gacha screen again. The game used to wait forever for banner pictures from Capcom's old website.
  • Gacha screen: you can leave the gacha screen again. It used to wait forever for banner pictures from a site that no longer exists; the gachas now show without pictures.
  • Step-up gacha: steps that list guaranteed items or a bonus now give them.

Monday 2 November 2026

Game server · Sky Corridor · Hunting Road · Client patch

Game server

The game server now has every fix that was listed under "Coming next", plus a few more. Most of them stop screens that used to wait forever, and make the game show its failure message when the server can't do something, instead of pretending it worked.

  • Saving: small save changes, plate saves and older characters' Hunter Navi saves are no longer lost or refused. A save the server can't store is sent again at the next autosave, and a save it can't load shows "Failed to transfer data from server. Please relog." instead of hanging.
  • Hunter Festival: prize and trial lists stay within what the game can show, a guild signed up by its vice-leader no longer shows as guildless, and voting, soul deliveries and the final reward (once per player) work as they should.
  • Raviente (Great Slaying): the player limits hold, the phase vote and support menu take one player at a time, a player coming back after a reset starts fresh instead of splitting the room, and one server error can no longer freeze the event on a channel.
  • Diva Defense: its screens answer with empty lists instead of junk or a stuck screen. The event itself isn't built on our server yet.
  • Rasta: saving can no longer change another player's Rasta ID, and borrowing a Rasta no longer replaces someone's contract or counts a borrower twice.
  • Guilds and alliances: guild actions check that you belong to the guild and hold the right role (normal play is unchanged). Actions in a guild that removed you, guild graduation and actions the server couldn't do show the failure message instead of looking done, and deleted alliances no longer break guild screens. Also fixed: guild search pages, guild emblems, disbanding a guild with open applications, recruiters accepting and rejecting applicants, member order, the scout list, older guild item boxes, message boards and the beat-class ranking rewards.
  • Guild treasure hunts: leaving a hunt works again, every cat shows its name, and a hunt the server couldn't store shows the failure message and keeps your RP.
  • Gifts, gacha, shops and the cafe: each gift can only be claimed as often as it allows, a gacha with no prizes gives the cost back, cafe points can't go negative, and the daily cafe bonus is given once and in full. Also fixed:
    • Collecting gacha prizes no longer loses the ones that didn't fit: they stay in your prize box for next time.
    • Zenny prizes no longer pile up in your prize box and hide your other prizes (the game already gives you the zenny when you play).
    • Box gachas give each prize once until you reset the box, as the game counts it.
    • Step-up gacha results show the guaranteed prizes where the game marks them.
    • Selling items for Frontier Points pays what the game shows.
  • Mail and houses: the mail list shows full subjects and up to 40 mails. Changing part of your house interior keeps the rest. Visitors see your bookshelf as you do, and your titles and house details instead of their own.
  • Signing in, worlds and lobbies: signing in with 255 friends or guildmates, the world list, friends left with an old session, errors while entering a world, joining a player you found, and lobby search all work again.
  • Quests and parties: caravan scores post at the end of a quest, Seibattle score lists show clean names, party guests get the host's party counts, and tournament quests and reward songs no longer get stuck.
  • Stability: a rare crash that could disconnect everyone at once is fixed, and dozens of server errors now get a clean failure message or an empty list.
Sky Corridor
  • Sky Corridor (Tower): resetting your tower skills is saved.
Hunting Road
  • Hunting Road: the in-game Road ranking opens for hunters without a guild and finds your own entry, and Road data that failed to load can no longer be saved over your progress.
  • Road data page: every Road the server has run, with each floor's points multiplier and the chance of each monster, for the open and the solo Road (Road data).
  • See what a Road changes: the Road builder now lists, in words, what your Road changes from the original. Entries you open from the vote page get the same list, so you can compare designs before you vote.

Every Road voted on this site now pays two rewards, by place: one for the design vote and one for the floor clear board. The first one is the Road of round 1, after voting closes on 17 Nov 2026.

  • Places 1 to 50 are paid on each board:
    • 1st: 100,000 zenny, 5,000 Frontier Points and 50 gacha coins.
    • 2nd: 75,000 zenny, 3,000 Frontier Points and 30 gacha coins.
    • 3rd: 50,000 zenny, 2,000 Frontier Points and 20 gacha coins.
    • 4th to 10th: 30,000 zenny, 1,000 Frontier Points and 10 gacha coins.
    • 11th to 50th: 10,000 zenny and 500 Frontier Points.
  • Design vote: your place in the vote, the winner first. Places are fixed when the winning Road goes live. An account counts once, with its best entry.
  • Floor clear board: your place on the Road's open (group) board, counting the floors you climbed while it was the live Road. Places are fixed when the next Road replaces it, and you can claim from then. An account counts once, with its best hunter. The solo board doesn't pay.
  • Claiming: on the account page, each reward shows its board, your place and tier. Claim each one once, for the character of your choice; it arrives in the in-game gift list. If a floor board isn't final yet, the page says so: try again later.
Client patch
  • The Diva storyline at the Prayer Fountain is in English: every dialogue scene, the chapter list and the episode titles.
  • One town's NPC dialogue is in English (stage 205, about 3,800 lines).
  • Download the patch again to get it (Windows, Linux). The guides now back up every file the patch replaces, so you can still restore the original client.

Quests · Frontier guide

Quests
  • Start from blank: the editor now builds a new quest instead of copying a live one. It opens with eight empty text slots, no monsters, no rewards and no start items, a 50-minute limit and room for four players. The reward and monster tables have their own room in the file, so you add entries and monsters as rows instead of thinking about byte offsets.
  • Live quests are not editable: the "Edit a copy" button is gone from quest pages, and the server refuses to hand out a live quest's file or start a draft from one. Building happens on new quests only.
  • Your drafts, listed: the Draft panel lists every draft on your account with its revision and last save, so you can reopen one and carry on where you stopped.
  • Where to start: "Create a quest" sits on the quest catalog and on the account page's Custom quests tab.
  • Same road into the game: Download gives the exact .bin the server would serve, and Submit puts the quest in your own counter as a testing quest under the id the server assigns, with its rewards emptied until an admin publishes it.
  • The quest editor went live: blank quests, monster and area dropdowns, drafts, download, and submit for testing.
  • Every quest page now shows the translated description plus the true original Japanese under it, and a requirement row where a quest has an entry item.
  • In game, all eight quest text slots are English: titles, objectives, subquests, main objective, fail condition, client and description.
  • Edit a copy of any quest: this was the first version of the page and was replaced by the quest builder the same day, so the copy action is gone. It opened a quest's own file as a form: the eight text slots with the room each one has, time limit, zenny, reward money, party size, quest class, monster spawns and the reward groups.
  • Drafts: Save keeps a private draft on your account and the live quest file is never changed; opening the editor again brings the draft back at the revision you saved.
  • Longer text is not cut: a line that does not fit its slot is appended to the end of the file and the slot repointed, the same way the quest titles were translated, up to the game's 32 KB quest buffer. The server writes every byte, so what you download is what the game will read.
  • Download and test: Download gives you the exact .bin the server would serve. Submit puts the quest in your own quest counter as a testing quest that only your account can load, with its rewards emptied, and queues it for an admin to publish.
  • Custom quests can be submitted from the Account page and are reviewed in a new Custom quests tab in the admin panel. Approved quests appear under Event and are served reward-stripped.
Frontier guide
  • The Frontier handbook is on the site: four chapters covering progression, gear, activities and reference, rewritten from Fist's guide for live servers with notes wherever this server differs.

Launcher · Quests · Hunting Road · Quest logs and the Worlds page · Account and security

Launcher
  • The PS4 style of the Mezeporta launcher now uses an animated 1920 x 1080 background, served from the game server like the classic one.
  • Existing launchers pick it up on their next launch; no download or game restart needed.
  • Launcher: the buttons are now a leather band and the popup dialogs a torn parchment with a speech bubble for the message, in both the classic and PS4 styles. The labels and buttons still draw on top, so the "Sign in", "Start game" and dialog buttons read exactly as before.
  • Classic style: each button has a slightly darker hover state, so a click reads clearly.
  • Updating screen: the parchment is also the background while the launcher updates the game.
  • No download: the launcher fetches these images from the game server each time it starts.
Quests
  • Quest catalog: every quest on the server, searchable by name, monster, area, rank and type, with monster icons and 40 per page (/quests.html).
  • English quest titles: all 9,157 quest names are translated and written into the game's own quest files, so the quest counter and the site agree. Files were patched in place at the same size, with a full backup taken first.
  • Quest pages: each quest has its own page with category, area, objective, time limit, reward money, client and the monsters it names, each linked to its monster page.
  • Monster names checked against the wiki: 蛮竜 is Gurenzeburu and Zamuza is Taikun Zamuza; titles that used the wrong name and the game's own "Emporer" spelling are corrected in place.
  • Every quest page shows tracked runs: attempts, clears, fails, abandoned, clear rate and average clear time.
  • Quest objectives, client names and descriptions are translated throughout: 5,461 objectives, 7,164 descriptions and 1,819 clients now read in English on the catalog and quest pages.
Hunting Road
  • Game server: each floor you clear on the Hunting Road is now recorded. Leaderboards ranks every rotation: the highest floor reached in one run wins, and whoever got there first wins a tie. The open Road and the Solo Road have their own boards. When a rotation ends you can still open its board.
  • Before this update: floors reached earlier still show on your in-game record page, but they do not count on a rotation's board.
  • The Road board has an Attempts column beside Floors climbed, so effort and depth are both visible, split by open and solo Road.
  • /roadparty posts a message with Join and Leave. Joining checks your account is linked and has a hunter, then switches your saved Road to the party's Road, up to four hunters.
  • The Original Road no longer reads as retired anywhere: it is always available, and the date shown now reads as when its board was frozen.
  • Rounds with no entries: if nobody sends a Road in a round, the next Road is drawn at random from the past winners and the two base Roads (the Zenith Road and the Original Road), and never the Road that is live right now. Before, a round with no entries had no winner.
  • Removed winners: if a past winner is hidden or disqualified, any upcoming round that drew it draws again.
  • The server records which Road each client was served. When the room's Road changes, anyone still holding a different one is returned to town automatically, because the client only reads the Road file on town entry.
  • No more telling the party to step back and hoping: the reload is guaranteed before the next quest.
  • The Road builder keeps drafts on your account, so a half-finished Road survives a closed browser and can be picked up from another machine.
  • The Account page can save the Road you play. Erupe pins it when you open a quest room, and a room can still override it with !road for that session.
  • Road history keeps every version with its dates and hash, so old Roads stay playable and their records stay readable.
  • Every Road the server has run is listed on the Road history page with its dates, status and hash.
  • When a Road retires its board is frozen as the original board; anything climbed afterwards goes to a separate revisit board, so going back never overwrites a record.
  • In game, a quest room can pick its Road: type !road to list what is installed, !road 2 to choose, !road clear to return to the live Road. Everyone steps back to town once so the client reloads it.
  • A scheduled job freezes the board the moment a rotation is replaced, so nothing depends on remembering to do it by hand.
Quest logs and the Worlds page
  • Hunter profile: a quest log under the Profile tab, newest first, 20 per page, with the result, time in the quest and clear time.
  • Account Hunts tab: the same log for whichever character you pick.
  • Party: each logged quest names the other hunters who were in it at the same time. Quest and hunter names link to their pages.
  • Who's online now sits above the player count graph, and each hunter on a quest shows how long they have been in it.
  • Quest log panel: clears, fails, average time in quest and average clear time for the last 24 hours, plus the latest quests and the most run.
  • Outcomes recorded: the game server now stores whether a quest was cleared or failed and its clear time; older stays stay blank because the server never saw their end.
Account and security
  • Audit log in the database: one collapsible block per server run, with its date and time and only the actions from that run; the file stays as a fallback.
  • Sign-in limit: 20 attempts per address every 10 minutes on top of Turnstile.
  • CORS narrowed on signed-in endpoints to the site origin, and a Discord secret that was being printed to the service log was removed. The bot also no longer lets a player name ping @everyone.

Worlds page · Launcher · Hunting Road

Worlds page
  • Click a name: on the live board on the Worlds page, each hunter's name, in the list and in the parties, now opens that hunter's profile directly.
  • Same name in a party: if two hunters on the same world share a name, that name opens a Hunters search for it instead.
  • Who's questing together: the live board on the Worlds page now lists the parties on each world: which quest, and which hunters are in it. Hunters in a party get an "In party" tag in the list.
  • Quests are listed by their number, as the server sees them. "Quest loading…" means the party has just left and the quest is still loading.
  • Live board: the Worlds page now shows who is online right now: how many hunters are online, in town and on a quest, and a list of each character, their world, whether they are in town or on a quest, and which quest. It refreshes every 30 seconds.
  • The Worlds board shows each hunter's Discord display name when their account is linked.
  • Quests are listed by their number, as the server sees them: quest names live in the game client. "Departing" means the hunter has just left for a quest that is still loading.
  • The game server restarted once for this, at 05:47 UTC, while nobody was online.
Launcher
  • Four new banners rotate at the top right of the Mezeporta launcher, in place of the placeholders. Click one to open its page: Feeling Lucky? (the home page), Weekly Leaderboards (Leaderboards), Custom Road Challenge (Road builder) and Set Builder (Set Builder).
  • A new background: the classic launcher now shows the Hunsterverse background picture behind the login box, in place of the placeholder.
  • Nothing to install: the launcher loads them from the server the next time you open it. There was no server restart.
  • The Mezeporta launcher's ZZ header is now the animated Hunsterverse logo, in place of the placeholder. It shows in both the classic and the PS4 style.
  • Nothing to install: the launcher loads it from the server the next time you open it. There was no server restart.
Hunting Road
  • Behind the scenes: the server tool that puts the winning Road in the game now accepts any of the game's 176 monsters, not only the ones the Road already uses. A monster new to a table gets its level and settings from that table's other monsters.
  • Nothing changes in the builder yet: the Road builder still offers the Road's current monsters. More monsters come to the builder in a later update.
  • The current Road and the vote dates are unchanged, and there was no server restart.

Hunting Road · Website · Launcher

Hunting Road

The winning Road design is now the group Hunting Road for the current rotation. It stays until the first Road voted on this site replaces it, after voting closes on 17 Nov 2026 (Hunting Road). The solo Road is unchanged.

  • New monsters on every floor: every floor now draws from the same 20 Zenith monsters: Rathalos, Khezu, Daimyo Hermitaur, Blangonga, Hypnocatrice, Tigrex, Espinas, Aqra Vashimu, Hyujikiki, Giaorugu, Midogaron, Rukodiora, Plesioth, Toridcless, Bogabadorumu, Doragyurosu, Gasurabazura, Gravios, Baruragaru and Harudomerugu (floor 56 offers 11 of them). Doragyurosu, Gasurabazura, Gravios, Baruragaru and Harudomerugu no longer have to be unlocked first. White Fatalis no longer appears on every 10th floor.
  • Floor 60 fixed: in the design as sent, floor 60's Blangonga was set to the wrong form. We fixed it before release: it's the Zenith Blangonga, like every other monster on that floor.
  • More Road points: the points multiplier is now x2 on floors 1-9, x3 on 11-19, x4 on 21-29, x5 on 31-39 and x6 from floor 41 (it was x1 to x4). Every 10th floor is a bonus floor: x10 on floor 10, x15 on 20, x20 on 30 and x25 on 40, 50 and 60.
  • Still 60 floors: after floor 60 you go back to floor 41, as before.
  • Build your own Hunting Road on the website (Road builder, signed in). For each table, pick which monsters it offers, how often, and which one is always offered. Then pick which table each floor uses. The builder checks your Road as you edit, so a Road that would break the game can't be sent.
  • Every two weeks there's a new Road. You get two weeks to send your Road and one week to vote (Hunting Road). Then the winner becomes the open Hunting Road for everyone, with no server restart. The first round is open now: send your Road until 10 Nov 2026, 18:00 UTC, vote until 17 Nov 2026, 18:00 UTC.
  • Past winners are listed with their creator's character (Road history).
  • The winner gets a reward to claim on the account page, for the character of their choice.
Website
  • Also fixed: searching hunters, guilds and the item catalog on the website works again. Before, typing did nothing.
Launcher
  • The Mezeporta launcher's API mode works on Hunsterverse. Set the server's Launcher Port to 8080 and leave Mode on API (see the Windows or Linux guide).
  • The launcher now shows Hunsterverse news, banners and links, and your mail and unclaimed gifts. The artwork is a placeholder for now.
  • SignV1 mode (Launcher Port 53312) still works as before.
  • Linux players: keep the Wine prefix outside the game folder. A prefix in Mezeporta/WinePrefix makes the launcher's update step fail ("Patcher failed to manage files in game folder"). The Linux guide, step 6 shows how to move it.

Hunter Festival

Hunter Festival

The Hunter Festival (Hunter Festa) is the event where guilds are split into two teams (blue and red) and earn souls from festival trials. The winning team gets the prize screens and winner quests.

  • The problem: the server's festival trials and prizes had been loaded three times over. The prize lists became too long for the game, so every prize screen at the festival counter would have frozen. The game also only counts up to 255 trials, so most of the 369 trials earned no souls.
  • The fix: we removed the exact duplicates before the prize phase opened. 123 trials and 120 prizes remain, all unique. Votes already cast still count.

Discord bot

Discord bot

The FrontierBot was offline: Discord changed its rules for large servers. It's back and now uses slash commands (type / in Discord):

CommandWhat it does
/linkLink your game account to Discord, with the code from the account site
/unlinkUnlink a game account from your Discord
/resetpasswordSet a new game password. Only you see the reply
/backup_charThe bot DMs you a backup zip of your characters
/import_charLoad a backup zip into one of your characters
/worldstatsThe worlds and who is online
/uinfoA user's accounts and characters

Also fixed:

  • /resetpassword with a password the account site doesn't accept no longer gets stuck retrying.
  • /link with a wrong code now says it failed. Before, it said it had worked.

Game server · Gifts

Game server

The server software (Erupe, the open-source MHF server) moved to a newer version from August 2025, with our own fixes on top.

From the newer Erupe:

  • Weekly login stamps work again. The stamp card had failed at every check since about 11 October (around 3,300 database errors). There have been none since the upgrade.
  • Guild Poogie outfits: unlocking an outfit for your guild's Poogie now saves correctly. Before, the outfit could unlock wrongly or not at all.
  • Joining a party's quest: if the host's data never arrives, the game no longer waits forever. The server now gives up after about 10 seconds.
  • Stability:
    • Fixed a crash when many players loaded quests at the same time.
    • Fixed problems in how the server sends data.
    • Fixed problems in how it cleans up old logins.

Our own fixes:

  • Guild missions: setting, cancelling and counting a guild mission target. The game used to read leftover memory instead of the server's answer.
  • Guild applications: the game now gets the answer it expects when you apply to a guild.
  • Guild actions the server doesn't know no longer leave the game waiting with no answer.
  • Guild scouting: the "refuse scouts" setting and an empty scout list now load properly.
  • Diva Defense: prayer gems, collecting items and adding Diva points now get answers the game can read.
  • Big guilds: the guild hunt list holds up to 127 entries, all the game can show. With 128 or more it failed to load at all.
  • Order rankings and the daily cafe-point check now answer in the form the game reads.
  • Hidden packet mix-ups (four): prayer gems, Diva Defense items, removing a message board post, and the guild's Sky Corridor (Tower) requests each sent more data than the server read. The leftover bytes scrambled whatever the game sent next. Now all of it is read.
Gifts

The "Poogie Dressup!" gift in the gift list should give Poogie outfits 1-30, but it had been gifting one empty outfit. Up to about 2,500 characters claimed it and got nothing.

  • It now gives all 30 outfits. We tested it: the outfits arrive and can be equipped.
  • It can be claimed twice, so anyone who already got the empty gift can claim it again.
